Default Ramp on Dan River Re-opens

The boat ramp on the Dan River at Schoolfield (Danville, VA) is re-opened after about 3 years. It's significant because there's only that one ramp to access the river upstream from Danville, until you get to Eden, NC (26 miles).
We're planning a trip tomorrow in Kayaks (not the whole way) and I'll post an update after I know more. I don't know what the fishing's like and the river is pretty muddy right now, but who knows. I've been told by more than one source that there are fish there. Smallmouth to be specific. I've caught them upstream around Danbury, so who knows? The water is cooling off.
