I agree with everything Lewis said. My last boat didnt have a reccess and my current boat does. Personally I cant tell much difference, then again I am still young too. The way I fish, I need to have my pedal screwed to the floor, cant be worried with it beating around while I am making a long run in the wakes of 50 other boats who took off before me.
