Default Gluing wood handles to fiberglass blanks- which glue?

I'm replacing the foam handles on a Tidewater 66 rod, and also making the butt about 6" shorter.

I have the wood blank (lignum vitae) drilled out, and I'm very fond of this wood-- super hard and durable.

However, I know very little about fiberglass. Will standard 2-part epoxy hold to fiberglass well, should I use fiberglass resin (does that bond to oily woods like rosewoods?), or is there a different glue that I should consider?
