For those interested, here is a pier report for North Topsail Beach.
I took my little boy out to the pier yesterday. We caught sharks, rays, puffer fish, small spots, whiting, small black drum and Virginia mullet. Some of the Whiting and Virginia Mullet were over a pound a piece. Our biggest one was just a little shy of a 1lb3/4. There are some real nice mullets on the beach right now, but you are going to catch your share of sharks, and other junk fish. You can call Seaview at 328-3172 to get a report before you ride over.
