Default Really God does look out for ya

saturday i fished sutton lake in willmington. Had a blast, and so we went back on sunday...(this is probly why this happened) fished all mornin and about 12 my buddy looks at me and says are we suppose to be this low in the water. i turn around to see him step on the butt end of the boat, and it just started sinking! we were only 20-30ft from the shore so my trolling motor got us where we need ed to get to in the shallow water. we jummped out put the boat as shallow as possible and grounded the lower unint into the sand which kept the backend from taking on anymore water. After that we bailled the water out as much as we could, and tryed to figure out what was goin on. finally after 3 hours standing in the lake, we were able to get enough water out of the boat to keep her floatin. we were about 500meters from the ramp so we put in gear and started for the dock. here is where God started looking. anyone who has ever fished sutton knows that there is stickups and stumps out in the middle of that lake every 20 feet. we had no choice but to get on plane and take the shortest route. so we did, put on the life vests, and started going. i was praying since eleven and i did not stop there. we drove up on plane straight across that lake knowing it was next to impossible and praise the lord we did not hit a stick up or a stump. we got the boat on the trailer and drove home. by the time we got there the water was just finishing draing out. Whast a day. What had happened was there is space between the livewell and its lid, so if i overfill it it just fills the hull. so i had that thing on for 2hours, and at 750gallons of water an hour, thats is a lot of water. plus i had it on the day before to long too. so i am the reason that boat sank. I think next suday I will just Go to church and leave the fishing to saturday.
