Default snapper or chopper

I caught this blue three hours into a falling tide at the inlet to bald head creek near southport, nc. using a stip of mullet fished on the bottom. I used a sliding sinker rig with an 8/0 circle hook which caught in the corner of it's mouth like it should. The Penn 8500 sang a real nice song. The wife is right fond of blues and this should keep her in fish for several meals. It was 28 inches from jaw to fork. Don't have a scale so can't post it's weight. Last week I was catching sea mullet on fresh shrimp but haven't caught anything but rays lately, till today. Can't wait till the pompano show. Anyone caught any yet?
