Ok wen fishing this weekend up in Emerald Isle. Did some surf and pier fishing. Caught shark after shark after shark. Then after a couple of blues up in Fort Macon, I had a double rig out with cut mullet and 2/0 Gam. Octupus Circle Hooks, and not really paying attention when my surf stick bent almost in half. Well long story short after a 300 yard running battle in the surf, I landed a 26" 8lb puppy drum, my biggest ever so I was really excited. Yes I kept it and yes it was delicious. I did catch some decent snapper blues as well. All in all it was a great trip.
