Wink Where the hart is

As a young boy I would go fishing with my uncles, grand father, and frinds. Some of the places had names like Catfish lake, Brices creek, Broad creek, Goose creek. But some didn't like the one along the RR track between New Bern and Havelock it was jest a hole but the Pan fish were the best ever. The first bass I ever hooked was in Brices creek (not the part that you could get a boat in). the first Spot was out of the Neuse river. I ran home to show my mother and told her that I would go get some more, RIGHT.
So I thought it would be good to shear some of those places hear on the forum. maybe someone on the way to some where could stop off along the road and check the spot out, see if it is still there, and are there fish.

A fun spot for me was the road side ponds along Hy 74 around Maxton (you can see the bass from the banks, or the Haw has some good fishing along the banks north of Hy 64.
