Default Sandy River Resv. , Va. -- 6 July 2007

Went with my son to Sandy River Resv. in Farmville, Virginia today. Bite was pretty good when we started, it was about half daylight when we arrived at lake. Wind started blowing and the bite tapered off and on, until we stopped at 1:00PM. we hooked into about 40 bass and landed about half or them, alot lot of quick releases and not paying attention. Also caught around 50 big bluegill the largest was 10.5 inches. Pretty hot out in the sun today. Early morning fish were caught on mostly shallow running crankbaits. Later on we used Powerbait Power Minnows, in a light. blue shiny color
