Default Shearon Harris

Backlash and I had a wonderful morning on the water today at Shearon Harris Lake. We nearly had the lake to ourselves when we launched at first light. Out on the water we were greeted by the appearance of a mature bald eagle passing overhead at treetop hight. This was followed about an hour later by an immature eagle. They alone were worth getting up at 4am!

We flyfished only and the fish were cooperative but small. We caught a smorgasboard of fish too numerous to count, however all put together they didn't total the weight of a good sized largemouth. I added to my lifelist of fish caught on the fly when I boated a large shiner! All in all a good day on the water.

Regards, Keith
