New in NC with 110 degree fishing fever

Hi guys
Just moved over here from europe 14 days ago and I'm looking forward to the fishing and landing a huge one in the near future, but I know nothing about the spots and seasons so any help is much appreciated. I'm located in Raleigh and willing to fish for anything anywhere so let me know if you have suggestions on a spot or you need somebody to chip in on gas or a ride to your local hotspot. I just love fishing and being out there and whatever species you are targetting I'll be interested.
