Met up with MR2Fish this morning at Ft Fisher at 7:30, well 7:45 because I forgot my wallet at my house. Got my yak all ready to launch and Steve was waiting for me already in the water. Went to launch my yak and got a treble hooked on the back of my shorts. I managed to unhook myself without undressing so I took it as a good sign.
Paddled out and the fishing started out really slow. After a couple of hours Steve had 1 legal flounder and I had caught my first legal trout at 17inches
. Steve went to strech his legs at an oyster bar and on my way to catch up to him I caught a red. We started casting from the bar and quickly started to catch fish. I caught four or five and Steve I think caught 2. Started fishing our way back towards the ramp and I caught one more short trout. Great day out there today. It was good to meet you Steve.
Im probably gonna head out again tommorow afternoon if anyone is interested.
