Default Topsail report 12-19-07

What a beautiful day. Guys, the weather doesn't come any finer on the big Atlantic than we had today! Not even a six inch swell, NO wind most of the day, none. Sunny most of the day with some clouds in the afternoon. By 9am we were peeling off layers of clothes - it warmed up nicely.

And the fish were chewing!

Randy, his friend Richard and I headed out about 7:30 in Randy's boat, aiming for some grouper and other tasty critters. We were not disappointed.

Once again I fished exclusively with the Shimano Butterfly system. To an already long long list of species caught on a butterfly jig, today I added an Octopus!

We filled the fish box fellas - I mean slam full of black bass (some over 18 inches long), Pinkies, Gag grouper, white grunts (Porgies) and even a flounder.

Company was excellent too! What a nice day!

Randy drove home afterwards, boat in tow. He has the pictures and will post them tomorrow.
