bamboo forest ?

I had no idea that they were made from flat, glued strips of bamboo, then which are shaped into a taper. Looks like a lot of very fine detail work involved. The hex looks like a lot more work to get the triangles right, with taper. Doubt I'll jump into bamboo rodmaking right away, but I do think I'll look at bamboo stands a little bit differently from now on.
