Just got a notice from Shimano that some of the new Curado D, Citica D and Cruxis have a problem. The upper stablizer bar is to tight do to tolerances. Under certain conditions the reel will bind up and make an audible clicking noise. If any contaminants, such as salt,sand, dirt or vegetation accumulate on the stablizer bar, the line guide will create to much friction on the stablizer bar and will bind.
Shiman has a repair kit but they don't say how the angler will get them unless you go to an authorized repair center.
They say it only applies to reels shipped before the first of the year. So how long did they sit on the shelf at the store has a lot to do with it if it's going to happen.
