References for Hull Repair Our son was running our 17-foot fiberglass boat in the Neuse River today. We hit an object in the water near Cowpen Landing. If the two guys fishing in the jon boat read this forum, I wanted to let them know it wasn't as bad as it seemed!
Anyway, escaped with only a gouge down the bottom of my boat. About as wide as your thumb, and it really does not seem to dig into the fiberglass. I'm tempted to address it myself, as I've done with small gouges on the hull, but I'd rather have a professional look at it.
Anyone have any recommendations for fiberglass hull repair? I don't think it will take actual fiberglass repair - I think they can simply fill it with epoxy or something.
I live in the Kinston/Greenville area, and I work in Raleigh. If I need to carry it to Morehead City or Beaufort, that is fine.
Yes, I've looked to see if any sponsors on this site offer this service. It may be best to PM me with any recommendations since it may be considered advertising.
