Default Undersize BSB in MHC TB

We hit the Morehead City Turning Basin today in search of Sea Mullet. Fished with shrimp on speck rigs and standard two-drop bottom rigs.

No Sea Mullet, but caught all we wanted of undersized Black Sea Bass.

The fish were all 9 to 11 inches, and put up a good fight before we threw them back.

Water temp started off at 58.4 degrees at about 11:00 a.m., and was up to 60 degrees before we went in around 3:00 p.m.

The four guys from Angier, NC that drifted by us (we were the father/son team in the 17-foot center console) - we had not caught any of these fish when we talked with you.

No trophy fish, no citations, and no meat in the cooler...

But a great way to spend the second day of spring!
