I know most of you guys in this particular forum mostly target the big stuff--- kings, wahoo, tuna, etc... but sometimes the po' folk like me go out on those big headboats while you all laugh at us (I am joking

).
I am taking a church group out on the Capt Stacey (Atlantic Beach) around the end of May. They provide cut squid and mackeral.
My experience on headboats has been good, with a few snags (mostly snagging the guy beside you). The biggest bummer I have found is dull hooks, brittle line, and ho-hum bait.
I am solving the hook and line problem by taking my own tackle (just for me, the rest of the group gets the boat supplied stuff lol). I would like to know what kind of live or fresh baits you'd recommend bringing. I will be taking some fiddlers just for fun to see what hits them, and some shrimp. If I can find some finger mullet I can catch in the cast net the day before, so much the better. What else might you recommend?
Thanks,
Matt
