 new salty rod
Ive been getting the urge to chase red drum and trout on the fly. Problem is I'm moving to Wilmington next month and funds are a little short. Ive got a fast action 5 wt that takes a 6wt line that serves fine for sheepshead but need something with more backbone for drum. I can get a great deal on an 8wt, but would I be better off holding on a little longer for a 9wt. I also would like to try casting a bit in the surf just to see if I could drag anything up. Any suggestions?
