 Crappie on Falls Lake
Went out to falls lake tonight with my 2 boys (6 and 7) and the wife. Tried a couple of coves with no luck, then i found one of the fish attractors by upper barton launch. Figured, the boys were getting bored so i would try there even if they were small it was something on the hook for them. I spent the next 2 hours taking crappie off their hooks, they weren't big about 10-12 inches (of course i don't know what is big or not as far as crappie go) the kids had a blast and can't wait to go out again!! Now all i have to do is learn how to fish so i can teach them!!! we were using some top water crank baits (the guy at dicks sporting goods said they were good for bass)! It was pretty busy out there for a thursday night i thought, but it was beautiful. |
