Default Bluefish Action - Topsail

Sgt. Fish (my son Zach) and I arrived at Seaview Pier Saturday Morning 04/26, and by 6:00 am had plugs in the water. 10 hours later, (4:00 pm), thoroughly exhausted, we released the last of the 70 blues that we had caught. Never had I been outfished so badly (23 to an amazing 47), and still be so elated. While they were not huge blues, probably a 1 - 2 pound average, they put up a heck of a fight. Silver Gotcha plug with red heads were the choice of the day. Zach even had one Hatteras Blue hooked on a plug and up to the surface before the fish decided, "that's enough". We saw a lot of large mullets caught, and the end of the pier guys were hauling in some big blues. This was one of those days you dream about, that rarely happen. Can't wait for the arrival of the Spanish, and some kayak action.
