Default Upper Neuse 4.26.08 - Fly casting

Days like today were built for fly fishing. I waded out into the Neuse river, just below Falls dam, around 3pm. The fly of choice, and by far the most productive fly that I have used in this spot to date, was the olive green gold bead cyrstal bugger.

I had a ball. I couldn't keep the bream off the line. I probably caught 30 or so sunfish of all shapes, sizes, and species. I also managed 2 keeper-size crappie and 2 *baby* largemouth bass. (When I say 'baby', I mean it literally. I believe that these bass hatched out of their egg, looked upstream, and saw my fly

Sorry no pics, I don't trust my wading abilities enough to bring along any electronics with a 3-digit price tag.
