Default Queen's Creek, 4/26 report

Nothing.

Got out there super early and was on the water as the sun came up. We got into the marshes and saw several schools of reds pushing water around the oyster beds. One blew up right between NRaycroft and me that was pretty big.

Got out and looked for bait for about an hour and managed one pinfish

Later on, Eddie and Jared, some friends from Kinston showed up. We fished the tide as it returned and the wind kicked up to 15-20 from the SE. We hung out over some oyster beds and still found nothing.

Getting back to the beach a few folks were catching some small black drum from the beach. Then NCPierman pulled up and gave Eddie and Jared a good lesson on drum fishing. It was good to see you again Tim.

Highlight of the day was Nraycroft taking the walk of shame. We were stretching our legs on an oyster bar when his kayak got away from him.

Saw a lot of gill nets and one right smack in a good spot in the marshes. Saw the guys throw back one pretty red that was nice a bloated. Down towards the mouth later in the day was another gill netter who threw more than a few redfish back.

I got a pic of some pretty geese that were swimming around and making a bunch of racket. They didn't seem to mind me tagging along with them.
