Today was the big fishing trip to Seaview Pier. Took a good while getting everyone at the Barracks organized and rounded up, but we did and made it to the Pier about 10:00. Nine warriors in attendance. Introductions were made and rods were passed out.
Wind was blowing 12-15 mph from the WNW and water was murky with an incoming tide. Everyone already on the pier was bottom fishing for Sea Mullet so that was the targeted fish. 10-15 were caught with a couple of rays and a late blue as the water started to clear.
It was a fun day and all the Warriors appreciated getting out of the Barracks even if the fish did not cooperate. This day was made possible doe to the actions of several individuals. First and foremost Greg and Frank at Seaview Pier who allowed me to take the guys free of charge. They not only allowed them to fish free but provided all tackle, rods and bait. The ladies in the grill provided hotdogs, french fries and drinks for free.
Thank you to all the volunteers who assisted the Warriors. I apologise for leaving out anyone but here goes: ScottHobbs, TopsailAngler, Fish-n-Topsail, Sundrop and Charlie, NCpierman, Jellybear, FishNwolf, DChristoph, moonshinerjack and FSgtUsMCRet. I know I have left someone out

. This day would not have been possible without each of you. Thank you each and everyone again.
Thank you to NcAngler for the t-shirts and East Coast sports for the Penn t-shirts. Also thank you to Scott at Century 21 Action Realty for the really nice coolers and again to SeaView Pier for the coolers. So even if they never caught a fish everyone went home with two coolers/insulated bags and two t-shirts.
