 topsail island fishing report
I went down to topsail island this past sunday, (my girlfriend and I) we fished seaview pier from 5:30pm to 12:00. I caught our limit of blues and were throwing several back. We caught several blues, trout, One nice spanish mackeral and LOADS of nice virginia mullet. Had the time of my life. The blues, spanish, and gray trout were caught on a golden diamond jig with five gold hooks tied above the leader. The blues were running so well i was filling the hooks at times, but never landed all of them, i got in three at a time once. I did see several other spanish being caught but i only caught one keeper. Saw several cobia hook-ups, but every time they got close to the pier they went into the pilings. The larger mullets were biting after dark, the larger the piece of shrimp i used, the bigger the fish. Hope to go back this weekend.
