Default 2008-05-17 Beaverdam (Falls Lake) - Kayak

got out this evening for a couple hours and wound up with a Falls Lake slam - a crappie, a white perch, a white bass and a largemouth. The crappie was pretty good, the bass was noteworthy as my first swimbait fish (Strike King Kind Shad - most expensive bait in the arsenal has now caught a fish!). All the others were caught on shad raps.

Lost 2 more LMs at the boat - 1 dink that shook off a crankbait and one really good fish that hit a horny toad just as I was pulling it out of the water. Made for a few exciting seconds while I let him pull the rod down into the water and then tried to set the hook. no dice...

Saw another boat catch a couple good fish (4lb+) on crankbaits, and a guy fishing off the Old Weaver bridge caught a nice one too - I think on topwater.

Thought I'd catch a bunch more whites so I didn't bother to get his pic, which renders my slam less worthy ...
