 Black River 5/21
Well i got lucky and got a day off work so me and a friend went to Black River again. Its about 1 hour drive from here so i figure id leave home at 4:00am and by the time i stopped one time at a store that would put me getting there around day break but things didn't work out. I hit the snooze button on the clock one to many times and over slept. I ended up leaving at 5am and unloaded the boat at Henry's Landing at 6:30am. I fished with crickets downstream from the ramp and the fish were biting good til about 8:30 and the sun got up in the sky a little bit and they just quit biting. We ended up with 22 fish in the live well. They were bream,shellcracker and bluegill. There was maybe 6 more boats in the water that put in after me and they didn't look to be having any luck. So if you go be on the water at day break if you want to catch them. Ill start posting a few pictures when i can remember to carry my camara. We seen a couple of snakes laying out on the logs sunning so becareful they might be looking for a boat ride.  |
