Default southport fishing report

Fished this morning and caught blues in the 1 1/2 to 2 lb. range and two reds that were both over the slot and several fish that I can't identify. They look like smaller versions of "Dave's" gag groupaaaaahs. Tough to wrestle off the bottom and out of the rocks whatever they are. The red in the pic went 30 inches and had two other hooks and lines deep in him. Cut the lines out and left the hooks. I've gone exclusively with circle hooks when targeting reds and flounder and they have worked very well for me virtually elimanating deep hook sets. The pics were taken with the cell phone so not very good quality.
