Default Hello All

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum but not fishing. I fish as much as I get time. I really enjoy fishing for Redfish and Specks. I grew up in the Morehead and Beaufort area and spent my youth on the water. My Mom always told me while growing up that I had Saltwater in my veins. I joined the Army and traveled a lot and ended up in Raleigh, NC about 10 years ago. I used to fish tournaments for Bass many years ago (20 years ago) and recently (last 2 years) I have really started to get back into the Saltwater fishing. Which is my favorite type of fishing. So I am here to learn about spots for catching Redfish and Trout and to learn the new techniques that everyone is using these days. The previous 2 years that I have been back in Saltwater fishing it was mostly trolling for Blues, Spanish, and I would get lucky occasionally and catch a few Kings. Of course during the fall of the year when the Grey Trout and Spot are running I would catch some of those along with everyone else. Its hard to miss when they are running due to the 200 boats in the shipping lane out of the Morehead City port . I have never been on the water in Swansboro area in my life. However I have heard that area holds some of the best Redfish fishing in NC. So anyone have any advice for a newbie to the Swansboro area for catching Redfish? Of course any advice or pointers are greatly appreciated. By the way I have a 21 Foot Center Console Bay Boat which means I cannot get in real skinny water. Basically if less that a foot deep I am scraping bottom. Tight Lines to all!
