I'm new here and I see a lot of good info, thanks. I'm going to Topsail Island this weekend with the in-laws and would like an escape for awhile. Anyone know the best bet for some redfish this time of year? Are they around? I would be willing to book a half-day for the wife and I with a decent guide. Any recommendations?

I'll be there this weekend through next Wednesday am. I haven't caught a red in several years and would love a 5 lber.

Anything on the beach anywhere with light tackle? I'd love to catch some flounder or pompano or trout on some f/w bass tackle.

Sharks? I've never been here before and just want to catch something! I prefer not to fish from the piers if there are other opportunities.

A morning topwater bite on a Spook would be a ton of fun.
