Default New ocean weather web site

Our fishing club had a guest speaker at our last meeting from the Coastal Ocean Research and Monitoring Program (CORMP) They are the ones that have deployed some really cool weather buoys in Onslow Bay.

She showed us some interesting projects they have going on to help boaters and fisherman know what are the CURRENT sea conditions. One of the most intersting is a project between NOAA, several universities and some other agencies (like CORMP). They have developed a new web site that brings togehther many of the resources that you currently have to visit many different web sites to find - buoy data, NOAA forecasts, water temp charts, radar images, etc into one easy to use site. It's still in it's experimental state and should be launched offically from the NOAA web site next month. In the meantime she invited everyone to try out the expermental site (the address will change when it becomes offcially launched).

There is a lot of information and options there so take your time exploring it. I have found it very useful!
