Default Striped Bass on the Yadkin

Just wanted to get some opinions on where you would go to catch stripers on the yadkin. I've seen the pictures that michaelg has posted, and spoken with stripes but would love to target freshwater stripers as I've never done such. What time of year is best and what area would you fish? I figure the backside of dams would be the most popular, lots of current and structure (rocks). I've talked to a few locals at tuckertown/narrows dam about the stripers and catfish there, so I know they exist. Any tips or pointers? Jordan is out of the picture , but High Rock/Yadkin/Badin/Tuckertown I could do.
