Default Tackle monkey strikes again

The ole tackle monkey jumped on my back recently and wouldn't let go till I had a new Trout Rig I bought one of those new Shimano Compre Rods - model CPS70MB with a Shimano Stradic 2500 reel.

The Compre has a cutout on the handle so your forefinger comes in contact with the blank. While fairly common in lightweight Casting models, its the first Spinner model I've seen with that feature.

I had 15# braid spun on the main spool and #10 mono spun on the spare.

Graphite blank, ultra fast action, finger cutout, fluid drive reel and braided line are all features that should enhance sensitivity, just what I need for finicky seatrout in the dead of winter.

Okay Monkey's off my back till ........ well for today anyway
