Head's up on a big in-store event for Friday, May 8 at Castaway Fishing Supply in Smithfield. One of the specials is a Jewel Jig starter kit for $99.99 that includes 14 jigs, 54 trailers, 20 rattles, decal, a jar of Smelly Jelly and a fishing trip & jig lesson with a Castaway pro Staff Angler. I don't know exactly how that's going to work, but it sounds really interesting.

Here are some details on the Jewel Kit and other specials we'll be running next Friday, the 8th. Thanks for posting Jeff.

We will have representatives on hand from Jewel Bait Company, Smelly Jelly, Anglers Waypoint and Twin Troller Boats.

We'll also have a sidewalk clearance sale on all kinds of stuff from crankbaits to rods to reels and more.

You basically got it on the kits. We've work with one of our Pro Staff Anglers, Brian Fritts to develop a complete jig fishing kit. We get alot of folks in the store that say they just have never tried a jig or just didn't have the patience for it. Jig fishing is one of the most consistant ways to catch big largemouth, if not the best overall technique, so we wanted to come up with a way to get more people into it. We put together this kit with the exact styles, sizes and colors that we use and have been catching fish on in North Carolina waters.
