By now you probably have heard of Blue Water Candy's Roscoe Jig (http://www.tacklemonkey.com/BWC-Roscoe-Freestyle-Jig_p_965.html), it having been used to catch over 25 species of fish, set a state record and bettering at least one world record (yellowtail grouper).

Now BWC has introduced a two ounce version of Roscoe called Lil' Man (http://www.tacklemonkey.com/BWC-Roscoe-Lil-Man_p_968.html). This jig comes with a 4x strength, #2 treble hook and is ready to fish using using your light or medium tackle. Lil' Man is excellent for Trigger fish, Black Sea Bass, Grunts, Gray Trout, Flounder and many others. The main body is painted with bone colored glow paint and is available with three different accent colors; pink, blue and brown.

They aren't really spoons. They are lead lures shaped to get some action yet get down in the water column fast. There are several ways to "jig" them. The easiest is drop to the bottom and "bounce" it up and down. Or you can use the newer yo-yo and/or freestyle jigging technique - after dropping the jig you pull it up, reel, pull up reel but do it real fast and jerk the tip around a bit. This technique is usually done with braid line so it slices through the water easy and so you can use a lighter reel (it gets tiring). See the Shimano website for a demo on the freestyle jigging technique.

Thanks, i did alot of vert. jigging while slipping the current in a river, although usually not deeper than 20' and with more of a swim action for walleye/sauger. Thanks again...
