Hey gang -- my neighbor and I (not coachK, another neighbor) hit the Weaver Creek branch Friday after work. He caught a couple cats and a couple of crappie, all on beetlespins.. All I got was my obligatory stick, having tried a plastic worm, spinnerbait, floating crank, torpedo, and my own beetlespin.
He'd never explored the flats way up in the southern end of that branch, so we spent our time up there. A buddy at work had suggested lookin' for 'em 5-10' deep -- I guess we probably should've done that. <shrug> Guess that means I need a "next time"!
