The wife and I fished the County Line Park area of Kerr lake on Sat. evening. Started off slow, but the action picked up as the sun faded and we hit a bream bed. Ended up catching 22 bream. Two were pretty nice. both 10" and 9.9 to 10.4 oz. Not a record, but the biggest either of us have caught. Best day of fishing all year!

This time of year, some of the best fishing is sunset to sunrise. The water is warm, days are hot, and once the water levels out smooth as glass you can see and hear the Rock hitting the top. Its time to tie on some topwater plugs and get ready for action. Try using the Ol standby Rapala, or a broken back. Try to be patient; cast, let it sit a 10 to 20 seconds, then give it a twitch or two, then let it rest again. Pow! hang on!
Thanks for the report and glad you had a great day. I am impressed that your wife goes too.
