Default Lake Murray SC 6-29-07

8 of us in 3 boats headed to Lake Murray Friday afternoon to try our luck with the stripers near the dam. The plan was to fish through the night and Saturday morning until we got ready to head home but the weather had other plans as several thunderstorms rolled through the area Friday night causing us to seek cover in the truck for a few hours. We wound up tied off to the towers and fishing downrods instead of trolling with free lines like we had planned but the fishing was slow but steady through the night. All three boats ran out of bait around 8:30 Saturday morning and we decided to call it a trip. We had managed to catch several fish below the 21 inch size limit and 4 keepers. Funny thing was, all 4 keepers were in one boat and it wasn't mine lol.
All things said, it was a good trip and I plan to do it again soon.
