New River (WV) 4-18-08

My first trip for smallies this year. We fished about a 5-6mi section and caught quite a few from 7:30 to 10:30am then it slowed a bit, but over all a great day on the river. The first pic is my raft at the put-in, 2nd is my brother with the first fish of the day, and dad in the last two pics with two of the better fish of the day. We didn't catch any monsters, but just to feel the fight in those little guys was a treat. I guided the first part of the morning then switched with dad, thats when the bite slowed down, I must be bad luck. I hope I get to share a few more of these trips with you this summer.
