fixing a hole..

any advice on fixing a hole in the side of my yak? i installed a deck loop with a wellnut and it is leaking slowly. i was thinking that if i could reach inside the yak i could plug it internally and fill it with marine goop in the sidewall - i'm not worried about keeping the loop, i've actually never used it. any ideas on that? thanks!
