Question for someone with more knowledge than me. I finally purchased my 1st kayak. It's a used tarpon 120 and it had a rudder with it, but was not attached. Actually it looks homemade because it's all out of aluminum. One side of the kayak has been drilled and the plastic line that holds the cable has been run. The other side hasn't been drilled yet. There has also been new footpegs attached but there not the rudder capable type that slide. Question 1. can I purchase the slide track seperatley and still use the new footpegs or do I have to buy that whole system seperately. Question 2. Can the plastic tubbing be picked up at lowes or a hardware store or do I need to get it from somewhere like Get Outdoors. There also was no cable with the boat for the rudder so I'll have to get that also. I hate to spend another $200.00 dollars for a whole kit if this one will work. I've rented Kayak's in the past from Get Outdoors without the rudder but I've been told the rudder is worth it's weight in gold. Can't wait to get her on the water.
