Well I had to drive from Carolina Beach to Myrtle Beach to get it but its MINE. I had been trying to find a dealer that had an 08 Hobie Revolution with the 08 drive but had been having no luck. Finally found one in Myrtle Beach SC that had gotten some in but only had one left after they sold them all at a boat show in Charlotte. So off I went. On the way down there, there was a car accident about a quarter of a mile ahead of me when I got stuck in traffic. Police and Fire were already there but the highway was shut down. People started turning around in the median but one young kid in a Mitsu, Eclipse got stuck because his bumper got hung up. After trying to push him out to no avail the cops came and said if he didn't get it out of there they would give him a ticket. I always carry a tow rope from driving on the beach with me so I got it out and luckily my Toyota was able to pull him out. I was hoping that would bring me some good karma. After a long wait traffic finally started moving and I got to the kayak store. The guys unwrapped the kayak and drive. To my disapointment it was an 07 drive. No one at the store knew how to tell the difference between the improved drive and the old version which I then explained to them. So much for karma. After a 2 1/2 hr car ride I was hungry as was my girlfriend so we went to luch before the long ride home. While we're at lunch the guys from the store call and leave me a message saying that they had found the new drive in a yak that had been delivered to the wrong store (Insert Me Dancing Icon Here). After checking all the drives of the five 08 Hobies that they had on hand only two had been delivered to them with the new improved drive. I think Ill name my new yak Karma. Here she is waiting to be rigged. Hopefully maiden voyage this week.
