Default ? on a yak(s)

Currently paddle a prowler 15 when solo. Love it. fast, will hold ton of gear and is fun to fish from. Only room for me. So.....
My other yak for the dog and I is a malibu 2, the old style. I bought it from a rental company used, real cheap. It a beast of a boat. I swear the plastic is thicker than normal, maybe not but it sure feels heavy. I currently sit in the solo position and the dog in the front seat, between my feet. Works ok, but its not comfortable at all and is a bear to paddle. It plows the water. Today i was having a large wave/wake come off the front. Must be something better than this set up.

? are there better yaks/boat for me when taking the dog. I like taking him cause hes fun, will catch finger mullet or two from time to time. Plus.....it keeps the wife happy and allows me more fishing time.

Oh hes a 90pd weimaraner. use in coastal sounds, falls lake, eno river, and kerr lake
I've looked at the native ultimates but they seem like wind would be a problem. malibu 2 xl...seems like same thing just newer model. I think the WS ride might work as the tank well seems big enough for a dog. A sit in but not sure about that. Looked at the pamlico 135t but not sure how easy it would turn in a creek or how wet it would while crossing open water.

Any ideas????????
Thanks
