Badin Lake

Fished Badin Sat night. Satyed all night. Caught a few channels and flatheads on livers and shad. All were good eating size. We fished around Old Whitney. Was looking to hook up with some bigger fish. Should I have went on up river beyond the train tressel or am I fishing the wrong part of lake alltogether. Last trip caught a couple of blue's around 5 lb each. Any help is appreciated. There was a guy fishing on the wall by the tressel sounded like he had a good one on and then he took to cussing, sounded like his line broke. Do they only run the water during the week? Does it ever run at night? Looking for a little general help I'm not asking for your honey hole's. Thanks again!
