Woke up late and didn't get the boat in the water until 0830. Fished for bait with a casting net for 2 hours, absolutely no luck. A big thank you to the family that showed up on the bank with the minnows, hope the fish was everything you expected. Caught one 3 pound channel cat between 1030 and 1145 with the borrowed minnows.

So the fish do bite during the winter but you have to bring your own bait.
