I'd like to check out Blues on Mt Is Lake this winter - 3 days off on president's day probably. Question is - i have a new cast net ... where would folks suggest finding some shad in winter? I can also get a couple eels and bring them with me for cut bait if I can't net anything - would 2 or 3 inch segments do OK for Blues?
