Night Trip to Cape Fear

Hello all just thought I would give a little run down of our trip to the Cape Fear to do a little prefishing for the tournament next weekend. Well it was a pretty good night we caught several fish and no I will not being saying exactly where. The fish were aggressive and did not mess around they hit the bait with the definite purpose of taking the bait. One good thing that we were up to was data collection to provide information to the NCWRC regarding catfish populations. If any one else is interested in collecting data to assist the state in getting an acurate picture of the catfish population please let me know.

All in all it was a great trip just cold for me. My shirt got wet so I was in a t-shirt and rain coat all night long I will be better prepared next time. I hope to see as many people as possible at the May 30 to 31 tournament make sure you bring a coat.



Two Blues I caught. I got one to the boat and as Sean netted him the other rod took off so I had to drop the first and get the second it was great.



Sean Beat me bad 5 to 3 he had a great night but I did at least get the big fish at 10 plus for the night.
