Default Need a little help

My buddy and I watched The Carolina Outdoor Journal last week when they were fly fishing for specs and thought we would give it a try in November. What I need to know is what type of leader should I use. I've got a 6w 9' rod with wf floating line. I generally use a 6lb. leader. I know they are toothy critters and would probably chomp through that leader. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks.
