Default trout help needed

I will be moving from the Durham area to Spartanburg, SC at the end of the month. I am looking forward to being closer to the mountains and to trout. I am unfamiliar with the area, however, and wondered if anyone on here lived down that way. I have looked at some maps and read the posts here, but a lot of posts mention landmarks that are not on maps. Are there any trout waters near Hendersonville or Brevard, or does anyone know anything about South Carolina streams? I've read about the Green and Broad in NC and the Saluda and Chatooga in SC, but how large are they, are they easily accessible, are they crowded, where is a good place to start, etc? I have a ton of questions, but I will appreciate any response.
