New Fly rod try out

I got my son a 4-5 weight to try the bream in lakes and ponds. Maybe lucky enough to get to the mountains for trout. but for now we need water near Raleigh to get a fly wet. we do have a jonboat w/9.9 merc for The lakes. Please put us in a spot where we can have a few good strikes and maybe catch a bream. Thanks
